The winners of the V.B.S. 2017 poll are:
Lifeway’s VBS 2017 turns your kids into Galactic Starveyors!
As kids focus their telescopes on the marvels painted in the sky by the Creator, they will discover the wonder among all wonders- that the God who created everything there is, wants a personal relationship with them!
A world where curious kids become hands-on inventors who discover they’re lovingly crafted by God.
At Maker Fun Factory, one memorable Bible Point is reinforced throughout each station, each day—making it easy to apply long after VBS is over.
Regular Baptist Press’ Over The Moat came in third place. If I have any free time I will work on crafts for this VBS program, but my focus will be on the two winning VBS programs.
This week I will post the crafts that are already on my site that can be used for these two VBS programs and in the coming weeks I will start adding new ones to the list.
This is a quick post letting you know what I have coming up on my blog.
Tomorrow I will be posting my yearly VBS poll. You will have a week to vote for your preferred VBS curriculum. Remember that I only create crafts for the top two VBS curriculums, so make sure that you get your kids ministry team to vote as well.
I will post the results of the poll on Sunday and I will begin posting the crafts in April.
Also, I plan on getting an early start on my Easter crafts this year. I will begin uploading them next week.
I want to thank you all for your patience. I know I’ve been a little slow in getting back on schedule after the holidays. Thank you for all your support and kind words.
I pray that my blog can continue to be a blessing to you and your ministries.
Crafting The Word Of God
Iv’e been quite busy lately so that is why I haven’t updated the site in a while, but things have finally gone back to normal.
Most of the crafts for this years Vacation Bible School’s have already been uploaded, but in the next two weeks I will finish uploading the rest.
Also, I have finished updating all of the printable pages on my site. For every coloring page there is now a puzzle activity page available as well. I plan, in the next few weeks, on placing both templates on the same web page. This way on the same page you will find a bible stories’ coloring page and puzzle page. If the story also has a connect the dots, maze or color by number, it will be included on the same page as well.
And finally I am considering providing colored in versions of my coloring pages as well as bible images/cliparts that can be used in power points, bulletin boards, flyers or any printed or digital document. I would like to know if this is something you guys would find useful, otherwise I will spend time updating other areas of the site.
The poll is now closed and the winners are:
Cokesbury’s- Surf Shack
In the next couple of weeks I will be working hard on coming up with the crafts for these two V.B.S. programs.
I will post the crafts up in mid/late March.
I wanted to quickly update you on how far along I am on the updates that I planned on completing two weeks ago 😀
For the most part I am caught up with the updates. The Bible crafts, coloring and activity pages are all updated. All I really have left to do is to finish updating the lessons on my site and uploading a few dozen new ones as well.
Things will go back to normal soon and I hope to start posting new crafts this coming week.
Also on Monday I will once again post the Vacation Bible School Poll I post each year.
The poll helps me know what V.B.S program or curriculum I should design the crafts for. Remember that I only create crafts for the most voted V.B.S. program.
So make sure to come back Monday and vote for the V.B.S. program you church will be using this year!
This will be a quick post updating you on the status of the updates to the site.
It is taking me a bit longer than expected to finish all the updates. I underestimated the time that I would require.
That being said I have finished updating all the crafts on my site. This coming week I will finish updating all the coloring and activity pages on my site. The week after that I’ll update the lessons and add a few dozen new ones.
First, I would like to take the opportunity to wish you all a very late Merry Christmas and a somewhat late Happy New Year. I hope you all enjoyed your families and friends and made many wonderful memories.
Second, this post will serve as a quick update to address the fact that I have not updated my website in a month. Fear not, I have not abandoned my website or the crafting way. I will never abandon the crafting way!
I didn’t update my website because I was busy with family gatherings, outings, get togethers, church activities… you get the idea.
As I mentioned before I have not abandoned Crafting The Word Of God, but I will not be updating new crafts for the whole moth of January because I will be spending that time working on quite a few updates to most of the crafts, coloring pages and lessons on this site. Most will be background updates or slit changes to the crafts themselves. For the most part the changes will be unnoticeable on your end, but they will require a lot of time on my part.
I should be done with them by the end of the moth and will be running back on my normal posting schedule by the beginning of February.
I ask that you have some patience with me and I promise I’ll be back before you know it.
You guys can still reach me at anytime whether by email or Facebook and I hope that for the mean time the resources I have uploaded so far can continue to bless you and your children ministries.
I hope you all have a wonderful time with your family and friends surrounded with laughter and good food.
Just a reminder, make sure to check out my post on my site where I list all of my Thanksgiving crafts.
You can also find my Thanksgiving crafts on my Pinterest board.
I know I’m a little late in posting this, since the list was published about 3 months ago, but I just found out that Crafting The Word Of God made it into ministry-to-children.com’s Top 100 Children’s Ministry Blogs Of 2015. This is the second time we’ve been featured on the list.
To take a look at the complete list click here. Make sure you visit all the other wonderful children’s ministry blogs.
Also I have quite a few things coming up in the next few months that will be on my blog. This week I will begin uploading the crafts and coloring pages for Thanksgiving, followed next month by the ones for Christmas. I will be updating and publishing new lessons on the curriculum section of my blog. And finally I have a few articles I’m finishing up as well.
Once again I’d like to take the time to thank you, my awesome readers, for visiting my site and sharing the crafts you find on Crafting The Word Of God. My hope is that they continue to bless you and your churches children ministry.
