Jesus Baptism

This quick craft will help illustrate the story of Jesus’ baptism.

Jesus Baptism 1

Jesus Baptism 2

Instructions

  1. Print the template on card stock. (Template)
  2. Color the main image and the dove.
  3. Cut out the dove and the attachment parts.
  4. Assemble the dove and handle: Glue the singular rectangular piece to the back of the dove. Then take the longer attachment piece and bend the solid lines creating creases. On the same longer attachment piece glue the two larger rectangles together. Finally glue the smaller rectangles to the rectangle on the back of the dove.
  5. Cut on the solid line on the main image.
  6. Stick the dove piece through the slit on the main image. The dove can now go up and down as if the holy spirit is descending on Christ.

The Day Of Pentecost

Posted on Updated on

You can find this craft all over the internet. Its very quick and easy to make, but kids love making it. This craft is a good way of illustrating the story of the day of pentecost to your kids. When  they finish making this craft each child will have their very own “tongue as of fire.”

The Day Of Pentacost

Instructions

  1. Print the template. (Template)
  2. Cut out all the pieces.
  3. Use the flame pieces as templates to trace them onto red, yellow and orange construction paper.
  4. Cut out the flame pieces and glue the pieces together.
  5. Grab the rectangle templates and trace the larger pieces onto the color of your kids choice and the smaller piece onto red construction paper. You will need three of each.
  6. Glue the smaller pieces to the larger pieces. Then glue the assembled parts together creating one long band.
  7. Place the band in front of your child and then glue the flame to the center of the band.
  8. Wrap the band around your kids head. Once you have the desired length use a couple of paper clips or a piece of tape to hold the shape. Then add glue to set it in place.

White Dove

Dove

This craft can be done for different bible stories and adapted for each one. It is very versatile. It can be used for:

  •  Teaching children the story of Noah. (Genesis 6-9) You can add a branch to the birds mouth for this story.
  • Teaching children when Jesus was baptized. (Matthew 3)
  •  Or you can teach about who the Holy Spirit is.

If you have any other ideas about what other bible stories this craft can be applied to I would love to read them in the comments section.

Instructions

  1. Print out the templates. (Template)
  2. Cut out the body, the wings and the feathers.
  3. Snip each individual feather around the border of the feather. (For a nice effect, before snipping the feathers, crumble them up, then snip each individual feather around the border).
  4. Then glue the feathers onto each wing. (Eight on the bottom and six on the top).
  5. Glue the wings to the body.
  6. Finally color in the beak. If the child chooses he can draw on the feet.
