All Made In God’s Image

Posted on Updated on

God made all of us. Humans were made special by God. We were made in the image and likeness of God.

“So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them.” Genesis 1:27

13 For You formed my inward parts; You wove me in my mother’s womb. 14 I will give thanks to You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Wonderful are Your works, And my soul knows it very well.” Psalm 139:13-14

“But now, O Lord, You are our Father, We are the clay, and You our potter; And all of us are the work of Your hand.” Isaiah 64;8

  4. Cut out the rectangles.
  5. Glue the “in the beginning” template onto one of the construction paper cut outs.
  6. Glue the cloud and z’s to the back of the large template. In between the 5 middle spaces.
  7. After the cloud and z’s have dried, on the other side, fold on the solid lines creating a crease. Do this for all of the solid lines. The rectangle will fold in on itself into one visible rectangle.
  8. Add glue to the back of the 1st day square and stick it on the back of the “in the beginning” piece.
  9. Finally add glue on the empty rectangle, right after the sixth day, and stick it onto the last construction paper piece.

Your kids can now go over the story of creation at any time and will have a wonderful tool to share the story with their friends.

God The Creator And Sustainer

Posted on Updated on

You can find dozens and dozens of crafts online to help you teach the kiddos that God is the Creator. Many times we forget to emphasize to  the kids that He is also our sustainer.

God not only created everything around us, but He has total control over everything we see. Make this an emphasis to the kiddos. Tell them every day they wake up it is   because God has given them life. God makes the sun come up. He blesses us with food for our tables. He is very merciful towards us each and every day.

“You, Lord, in the beginning laid the foundation of the earth, And the heavens are the works of Your hands.” Hebrews 1:10
