Everest Bible Crafts

Posted on Updated on

These are the crafts that can be used with the Group- Everest V.B.S. program.

everest-vbs-2015-logoAlthough most Vacation Bible School curriculum programs provide or sell their own Bible crafts, many times they have nothing to do with the Bible story of the day or not much thought went into designing them in the first place. My hope is that these crafts will help make planning your Vacation Bible School a little less stressful.

Philip And The Ethiopian

Posted on Updated on

This craft is a visual illustration of the Philip and the Ethiopian.

As they went along the road they came to some water; and the eunuch said, “Look! Water! What prevents me from being baptized?” 37 And Philip said, “If you believe with all your heart, you may.” And he answered and said, “I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.” 38 And he ordered the chariot to stop; and they both went down into the water, Philip as well as the eunuch, and he baptized him.” Acts 8:36-38

Jesus Ascension

Posted on Updated on

This quick craft will help illustrate the story of Jesus’ ascension.

“9 And after He had said these things, He was lifted up while they were looking on, and a cloud received Him out of their sight.10 And as they were gazing intently into [h]the sky while He was going, behold, two men in white clothing stood beside them.11 They also said, “Men of Galilee, why do you stand looking into[i]the sky? This Jesus, who has been taken up from you into heaven, will come in just the same way as you have watched Him go into heaven.” Acts 1:9-11

Instructions

  1. Print the template on card stock. (Template)
  2. Color the main image and the Jesus figure.
  3. Cut out the Jesus figure and the attachment parts.
  4. Assemble the Jesus figure and handle: Glue the singular rectangular piece to the back of the Jesus figure. Then take the longer attachment piece and bend the solid lines creating creases. Glue the two larger rectangles together. Finally glue the smaller rectangles to the rectangle on the back of the Jesus figure.
  5. Cut on the solid line on the main image.
  6. Stick the Jesus figure piece through the slit on the main image. The Jesus figure can now go up and down.
