Jesus Walks On Water
The world around us can get hectic and crazy and we can be pushed around by waves of different problems. But we shouldn’t worry about the problems around us or our difficult situations. Instead we should keep our eyes set on Jesus and know that we can completely trust in Him. We need to step out of the boat in faith and keep our eyes on Jesus knowing that He promises to help us through the most turbulent of storms.
“30 But seeing the wind, he became frightened, and beginning to sink, he cried out, “Lord, save me!” 31 Immediately Jesus stretched out His hand and took hold of him, and said to him, “You of little faith, why did you doubt?” 32 When they got into the boat, the wind stopped. 33 And those who were in the boat worshiped Him, saying, “You are certainly God’s Son!” Matthew 14:30-33
Instructions
- Print the template on card stock. (Template)
- Color and cut out both pieces, including the solid line on the boat piece.
- Glue the figure onto a popsicle stick.
- Stick the popsicle stick through the slit you made on the boat piece.
Basic Christmas Wreath
Why spend 40 dollars on a Christmas wreath, when you can have one decorated by one of your kids?
This is a very basic Christmas wreath craft. Its great to do with your kids because you can easily build on it and decorate it as you wish. Let your kids use their imagination.
Directions
- Print the template. You will need at least two of the leaf pattern pages. (Template)
- Color and cut out all of the pieces.
- Cut out the center from a paper plate, leaving a ring.
- Glue the leaves in random order onto the paper ring.
- Finally glue on the ribbon.
Here’s were you get to use your imagination. You can use practically anything to decorate this wreath: pompoms, stickers, glitter, beads, craft feathers, string, foam stickers, ribbon, tissue paper, sequence, buttons, cranberries, popcorn, craft jewels, jewel garlands, plastic poinsettias. The possibilities are endless.
Candy Cane Jesus
The Legend Of The Candy Cane…
Look at a candy cane and what do you see? Stripes that are red like the blood shed for me. White for my Savior, who is sinless and pure. “J” is for Jesus, my Lord, that’s for sure! Turn it around and a staff you will see- Jesus, my shepherd is coming for me!
Many times during this Christmas season we get caught up in material things. Presents, decorations and food. It’s important to take the time to remember that those things have trully nothing to do with Christmas. The true meaning of Christmas is Christ. And that is exactly what this craft will do.
“She will bear a Son; and you shall call His name Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins.” Matthew 1:21
Instructions
- Print the template. (Template)
- Color and cut out all of the pieces.
- Glue the baby onto a sheet of yellow construction paper.
- Cut out the baby from the construction paper, leaving a border of yellow construction paper.
- Cut slits along the border of the construction paper at different intervals and angels.
- At this point if you like, you can decorate the candy cane with glitter. Allow the enough time for the glitter to dry.
- Finally glue the baby onto the candy cane.
Go Into All The World And Preach The Gospel
“Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.” Mark 16:15
This commandment from Jesus shows us the importance of witnessing to others. Teach your kids that they can witness anywhere they are and with who ever they are with. They can grow up to be missionaries and preach the gospel around the world or they can witness with their friends at school.
“…and you shall be My witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and even to the remotest part of the earth.” Acts 1:8
This simple craft will be a great reminder that they can witness:

Instructions
- Print the template. (Template)
- Color and cut out all of the pieces. For the state pentagon have the kids draw in their state. For the country pentagon have the kids draw in their country. You can also print a picture from the internet and glue it on.
- Glue on the continent to the continent pentagon.
- Hold all the pieces together with a metal brad or metal book ring.

Jesus Calms The Storm
This craft is simple, but fun. It will help reinforce the story of Jesus calming the sea. It’s a nice reminder that when the world is raging around us, God is in control of it all.
“35 That evening, Jesus said to his disciples, “Let’s cross to the east side.” 36 So they left the crowd, and his disciples started across the lake with him in the boat. Some other boats followed along.37 Suddenly a windstorm struck the lake. Waves started splashing into the boat, and it was about to sink. 38 Jesus was in the back of the boat with his head on a pillow, and he was asleep. His disciples woke him and said, “Teacher, don’t you care that we’re about to drown?” 39 Jesus got up and ordered the wind and the waves to be quiet. The wind stopped, and everything was calm.” Mark 4:35-39
Instructions
- Print the templates. (Template)
- Color the templates.
- Cut out the templates.
- Make a small hole with scissors or a pin on the black dot in the middle of the circle and on the boat. Stick a metal brad through it. Open and bend the legs.
Now turn the circle. The skies will go from rain and thunder to calm and sunny.
Jesus I Am…
This Bible craft is for teaching on the “I Am’s” of Jesus. Instead of asking our kids who they think Jesus is, we can lead them through scripture and show them who Jesus is. We should show them who Jesus Himself said He was. And that is exactly what this craft will accomplish.
Instructions
- Print the templates. (Template)
- Color in the first page.
- Cut out both circles.
- Make a small hole into the middle of the circles and stick a metal brad through it. Open and bend the legs.
Grasshopper
Kids will love making this grasshopper craft. This craft is very versatile and can be used for different Bible stories. It can be used for teaching the story of:
- The twelve spies.
- The ten plagues of Egypt.
- John the Baptist.
Instructions
- Print the template onto a sheet of cardstock. (Template)
- Cut out all of the pieces leaving a border of cardstock around each piece.
- Glue the pieces onto a sheet of black construction paper.
- Cut out all of the pieces.
- Glue each wing to the back of the grasshopper pieces.
- Take the rectangle piece and fold along both solid lines, making two creases.
- Add glue to one side of the rectangle piece and stick it on one of the grasshopper pieces, right between the thorax and the abdomen.
- Do the same thing with the other piece of grasshopper, making sure to line up both grasshopper pieces. The legs will now be able to hold up the entire grasshopper.
Wolves In Sheeps Clothing
Some people are like wolves who pretend to be sheep. They act and dress like the sheep, only to destroy the lambs once they are among them. We should teach our kids that the Bible tells us how we can figure out which sheep are true sheep, and which are wolves. This emphasizes the importance of reading and knowing Scripture.
Instructions
- Print the template. (Template)
- Color the mask.
- Cut it out.
- Glue the mask onto a piece of cardstock.
- Cut out the mask again, including the eyes.
- Glue a large popsicle stick to the bottom of the mask.
Proclaim Him Megaphone
This craft will remind your kids that they can share the messages of the Gospel with all of their friends. They can learn to spread the message of Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross for the atonement of our sins.
“Then he told them: Go and preach the good news to everyone in the world.” Mark 16:15
Instructions
- Print the templates. You will need an 8.5″ x 14″ or “Legal” sheet of paper. (Template)
- Cut out the templates.
- Cut out the bottom of a 16 oz. paper or styrofoam cup.
- Wrap the template around the paper or styrofoam cup.
- Hold it together with two paper clips and then glue it in place.
- Cut off any excess overhang of the paper wrapped around the cup.
- With a one hole punch, punch two holes on opposite sides of the bottom of the cup.
- Tie a piece of yarn around both holes creating a neck strap.
- Finally decorate the cup. I have included the words “Jesus Saves”. You can also use glitter, stickers or paint. Let your kids use their imagination.
Crafting The Word Of God
