Cross Sun Catcher
This cute cross sun catcher is a great activity to do around the Easter holiday. A reminder to your kids of the ultimate sacrifice of Christ for the forgiveness of sins.
Instructions
- Print the template onto card stock. (Template)
- Glue the template sheet to the back of a sheet of black construction paper.
- Cut out all of the white from the template. You will be left with the cross border shape.
- Place the cross shape onto a self laminating sheet or contact paper, construction paper side down.
- Fill the inside of the cross with a random combination of tissue paper.
- Cover with another sheet of self laminating sheet or contact paper.
- Cut out the cross from the laminating sheet or contact paper.
- Stick the cross to your window with double sided tape.

Paper Plate Sheep
This cute and simple lamb craft will be a great add-on to any Bible lesson.
It can be used for:
- Cain and Abel’s offerings to God. (Genesis 4)
- Jesus as the Good Shepherd. (John 10:1-17)
- Jesus as The Lamb of God. (John 1:29-35)
- Jesus sacrificial death. (Isaiah 53)
- The shepherds visiting Christ on the night of His birth. (Luke 2:7-20)
- Israel’s practice of burnt offerings.
- The Passover. (Exodus 12)
- The story of David. (1 Samuel 17)
- False teachers as wolves in sheep’s clothing. (Matthew 7:15-20)
- The final judgement. (Matthew 25:32-33)
Instructions
- Print the template on card stock. (Template)
- Color and cut out the face and legs of the sheep.
- Optional: At this point you can cover the paper plate with either cotton balls or pop corn.
- Glue the head onto the paper plate.
- Finally glue the legs onto the paper plate. Make sure the back legs are slightly higher than the ones in front.
The Lord Is My Shepherd
This psalm is probably the best known passage of the Old Testament. It is a testimony by David to the God’s faithfulness throughout his life. This psalm serves as a reminder to our kids that God watches over us and takes care of us.
“1 The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want. 2 He makes me lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside quiet waters. 3 He restores my soul; He guides me in the paths of righteousness for His name’s sake. 4 Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I fear no evil, for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. 5 You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You have anointed my head with oil; My cup overflows. 6 Surely goodness and loving kindness will follow me all the days of my life, And I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.” Psalm 23
Instructions
- Print the template on card stock. (Template)
- Color and cut out all of the pieces.
- Assemble The Body: Fold on the solid and dashed lines. Glue the hinges to the sides of the legs. Slit both of the solid lines on the back of the sheep.
- Assemble The Head: Fold on the solid lines. Add glue to the underside of the middle square and fold the head back gluing it in place.
- Finally place the tail part of the head piece through the first slit of the back of the sheep and bring it up through the second slit.
This craft can also be used for other Bible stories.

Gospel Cross
This craft makes use of colors to help children understand the gospel message. The color association makes it easy for children to remember each part of the gospel.
Brown– God As The Creator
Yellow– God Is Holy
Black– Our Sin, Total Depravity, Fallen Nature
Red– Blood Of Jesus, His Perfect Sacrifice, Substitutionary Death
White– Repentance
Blue– Faith
Green– New Life, New Creation
Instructions
- Print out, onto a page of light gray cardstock, the cross template. (Template)
- Cut it out.
- Print pages three to nine onto colored construction paper or cardstock. (Each page is labeled according to color.) Or if you choose you can print out the pages on white paper and your kids can color them in by hand.
- Using paper clips place each square on the cross in place. (The paper clips will hold each square in place so you are left with the correct spacing.)
- Glue each square in its place, one at a time.
Cross Number Game
This is a quick but fun game to play with your kiddos.
Print out the sheet and give one to each of your kids. (Template) In order to play this game you will also need a single dice. You can be creative and use a jumbo foam dice.
Each child will take a turn rolling the dice. Whatever number the dice lands on, the child that rolled the dice has to color in that number on their sheet (just one number not all three of the same number).
If they land on a number that all three spots have been colored in the next player will take his turn.
The winner of the game is the child that can color in all of their cross first.
Everyone has a couple of wild dice throwers in their family or class. Every time they throw the dice it seams to land all over the place, except the board. I found this trick on Pinterest a little while ago. Just take any small container (I am using an empty Gerber baby food container), and place your dice inside.
This way no matter how hard they roll the dice, the dice stay in place. This trick is great to use with board games that include many small pieces like Monopoly and Risk. How many of us have not had a friend or family member roll the dice and accidentally scatter all the little houses around. Use this trick and save yourself the headache. 🙂
The Lords Supper
A cute way to remember the sacrifice of Christ on the cross and the significance of the Lords Supper.
“For I received from the Lord that which I also delivered to you, that the Lord Jesus in the night in which He was betrayed took bread; and when He had given thanks, He broke it and said, “This is My body, which is for you; do this in remembrance of Me.” In the same way He took the cup also after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in My blood; do this, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of Me.” For as often as you eat this bread and drink the cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until He comes.” 1 Corinthians 11:23-26
Instructions
- Print the templates onto cardstock. (Template)
- Color the templates.
- Cut out the templates.
- Take the table template and fold along the dotted lines. Add glue to the side tabs and form the table.
- Next glue the disciples on the bench to one side of the table.
- On the other side of the table glue on the group with two disciples to the right of the table.
- Then glue on the Jesus group to the left of the two disciples you previously glued on.
- Finally glue on the last disciple holding the bowl of soup.
Mosaic Cross
The kiddos will love creating this colorful mosaic craft! Perfect for Easter or whenever you study the story of Jesus’ crucifixion and resurrection.
Extra Ideas
You can also cut out the pattern cross intact (in the shape of a cross). Glue it onto the main cross and then fill in the spaces in between using glue and glitter.
Instructions
- Print the templates onto pieces of card stock. (Template)
- Cut out the main cross and each piece of the pattern.
- Using the pieces you just cut out, trace them on different pieces of colored construction paper.
- Cut them out.
- Glue the pieces of construction paper onto the main cross.
