Easter Wreath

A cute and straightforward Easter decoration craft.

Easter Wreath

Instructions

  1. Print the template on card stock. (Template)
  2. Color a paper plate green using paint, crayons or markers.
  3. Remove the inside circle of the paper plate leaving a green ring.
  4. Color and cut out all of the pieces from the template.
  5. Glue the fern and palm leaves onto the paper plate ring.
  6. Glue on the Happy Easter banner.
  7. Finally glue on the clothes rags and Easter lilies.

Instructions

Print the template on regular copy paper, but I recommend card stock.

Color then cut out each puzzle piece.

To make the pieces last longer you can laminate each individual piece.

Solomons Temple

A quick craft to go along with the story of Solomon building the temple in Jerusalem.

This craft can also be done for the story of the reconstruction of the temple.

Instructions

  1. Print the template on card stock. (Template)
  2. Color the template.
  3. Cut out the template.
  4. Assemble the temple by adding glue to the side tabs.

Your kids can use gold glitter glue to decorate the columns, doors and side panels.

Easter Palm Fan

Your kids will enjoy reenacting Jesus’ arrival in Jerusalem with their own homemade palm branches.

Easter Palm Fan

Instructions

  1. Print the template. (Template)
  2. Glue a sheet of green construction paper to the back of each template piece.
  3. Cut out both pieces of the fan.
  4. On each piece fold on the solid lines, creating creases.
  5. Glue both pieces together.
  6. Either wrap a ruler or a wooden paint stirrer in green construction paper. You can also paint the wooden paint stirrer green.
  7. Glue or tape the wrapped ruler or paint stirrer to the bottom of the fan.

Palm Leaf Sun Catcher

This craft is a great reminder for your kids of Jesus’ triumphal entry into Jerusalem. It not only looks great, but its fun to make.

Palm Leaf Sun Catcher

Instructions

  1. Print the template onto card stock. (Template)
  2. Glue the template sheet to the back of a sheet of black or green construction paper.
  3. Cut out all of the white from the template. You will be left with the palm leaf border shape.
  4. Place the palm leaf shape onto a self laminating sheet or contact paper, construction paper side down.
  5. Fill the inside of the palm leaf with a random combination of tissue paper.
  6. Cover with another sheet of self laminating sheet or contact paper.
  7. Cut out the palm leaf from the laminating sheet or contact paper.
  8. Stick the palm leaf to your window with double sided tape.

Jesus Rides A Donkey Into Jerusalem

This donkey craft helps the kiddos remember the Easter story of  Jesus triumphantly entering into Jerusalem, with  crowds waiving palm branches and crying out “Hosanna”.

Instructions

  1. Print out and color the donkey templates. (Template)
  2. Cut out the donkey and glue both sides together.
  3. Paint/color two clothespins gray.
  4. Then paint the bottom of the clothes pins black for the hooves.
  5. Using small pieces of black string, glue them onto the mane and the tail of the donkey. Cut off any excess string.
  6. Add the clothes pins to the finished body of the donkey.

This craft can also be made for the story of Balaam’s donkey.

We can be very stubborn when we want to do things our way. Many times this happens when we are doing something wrong.

This craft will help the kiddos remember to always listen to what God says and not be as stubborn as Balaam.  And like Balaam’s donkey, to always speak up when it comes to standing up for God’s truth.

Balaams Donkey

Instructions

  1. Print and color the template. (Template)
  2. Cut it out and glue it onto a piece on cardstock or construction paper.
  3. Cut out the template from the cardstock or construction paper.
  4. Glue on two large googly eyes and black string for the hair.
  5. Finally glue on a large craft stick for a handle.

You can also use this craft for Jesus’ entry into Jerusalem or Mary and Joseph’s trip to Bethlehem.
