This is a fun and simple Thanksgiving craft.
You can also make this craft using craft foam.
Instructions
- Print the template on card stock. (Template)
- Color and cut out all of the pieces.
- Cut the pumpkin piece in half.
- Glue the wings onto the turkey body.
- Assemble the pieces by using metal brads/paper fasteners.
Turkey Hat
A quick craft for a fun turkey hat your kids will love to wear during the Thanksgiving holiday.
Instructions
- Print the template on card stock. (Template)
- Cut a paper plate in half.
- Color or paint one of the paper plate pieces brown.
- Color and cut out all of the template pieces.
- Glue the large feathers to the paper plate.
- Between two large feathers glue on a small feather.
- Glue the wings to the turkey head piece.
- Glue the assembled turkey piece onto the feathered paper plate.
- Glue on the feet to the paper plate.If you want you can bend the legs into an accordion design.
- Finally attach the turkey hat to the child’s head using the white stripes.
Update: Vacation Bible School 2015 Poll
Here is the official Vacation Bible School 2015 poll.
Make sure to vote for your favorite or I won’t plan the crafts for your preferred V.B.S. provider.
The poll will be open for a week and then the three top voted winners will be announced. (I mentioned yesterday that I would have it open until December, but “polldaddy” only allows me to have the poll running for a week at most.)

Update: Vacation Bible School 2015
This is just a quick head up. Tomorrow I will be posting the V.B.S. contest poll that I have been doing for the past two years.
The poll helps me know what V.B.S program or curriculum I should be designing the crafts for.
Since I’m short on time I only plan the crafts for the top three voted V.B.S. programs.
The poll will go up tomorrow and it will stay open until December when the three winners will be announced. Then in April I will post the crafts themselves.
If you want to make sure that I include your favorite V.B.S. provider, leave their information in the comments section and make sure to come back and vote for your favorite between the months of November and December.
Count Your Blessings Doorknob Hanger
A simple reminder for the reason we celebrate Thanksgiving.
I decorated the hanger with red circles, but you can use paper leaf cut-outs, Thanksgiving/fall stickers or craft turkey feathers.
Instructions
- Print the template. (Template)
- Cut out both of the two largest pieces.
- Glue them to two different colors of construction paper.
- Cut both pieces out.
- From the smaller piece cut out the hole for the door knob.
- Glue the smaller piece onto the larger piece.
- Cut out the hole for the door knob one more time.
- Decorate the assembled pieces. Again I used red circles, but feel free to use what you have on hand.
- Color and cut out the pilgrims and the “count your blessings” sign.
- Glue the pilgrims toward the bottom of the hanger.
- Finally glue the “count your blessings” sign under the pilgrims.
