Here are the crafts for Group’s Weird Animals.
Day 1: Jesus Heals The Lepers. (Luke 17:11-19)

Paul Lowered In A Basket
“10 Now you followed my teaching, conduct, purpose, faith, patience, love, perseverance, 11 persecutions, and sufferings, such as happened to me at Antioch, at Iconium and at Lystra; what persecutions I endured, and out of them all the Lord rescued me” 2 Timothy 3:10-11
Paul was not a stranger of persecution. He was zealous for the Lord and endured persecution for it.
God’s faithfulness and mercy demonstrated themselves to Paul through persecution and tribulation.
This craft will remind your kids of the story of Paul being lowered in a basket at night by his friends.
Instructions
- Print the template on card stock. (Template)
- Color and cut out all of the pieces.
- Assemble the support on page 2.
- Glue the support to the back of the tower.
- Finally hang the basket from the tower by gluing two pieces of string to the basket and gluing the other sides of the string to the wall.
Ark Of The Covenant
Have your kids make their very own ark of the covenant.
This craft can be used for telling the story of:
- Its creation, description and purpose.
- Crossing the river Jordan.
- The battle of Jericho.
- Having it stolen and returned by the Philistines.
- Its return to Jerusalem.
- God granting Solomon wisdom.
- The creation of Solomon’s temple.
Instructions
- Print the template on either yellow or white card stock. (Template)
- Color and cut out all of the pieces if you printed it on white card stock. If printed on yellow card stock you can skip the coloring it in part.
- Assemble the bottom, large box by folding on the solid lines and adding glue to the tabs.
- Once the large box is assembled, glue the long pieces to each side of the box.
- Next assemble the rectangular piece.
- Glue on the rectangular piece to the top of the large box.
- Finally glue on both angels.
Mothers Day Flower Basket
I’m about a month early, but I thought I would get a start on Mothers Day.
This craft is a cute mothers day flower basket that any mom would be happy to receive.
You can also use this as a cup holder by inserting a small Styrofoam cup into the flower basket.
Instructions
- Print the template. (Template)
- Color the flower basket.
- Cut out the flower basket.
- Fold on the two solid lines, creating two separate creases.
- Add glue to the tab on the basket and attach the tab on the other side of the basket.
- To finish the basket, add glue to the tab on the flower portion an attach the tab on the other side of the flower portion.
Bible Beard
A simple beard your kids can make for a variety of Bible stories.
Instructions
- Print the template onto card stock. (Template)
- Color and cut out the beard.
- There are two ways of wearing the beard. 1 Glue the beard to a large popsicle stick. 2 With a one-hole punch, make two holes on each side of the beard. Then add a long piece of yarn through each hole.
The Church
The church is the group of believers not the building itself. It is very important that kids have a correct understanding of what the church is and isn’t.
Important aspects to cover when teaching our kids about the church:
- The difference between the local and universal church.
- When the church was founded.
- The reason we gather together every week.
- Our responsibilities as members of the church.
- How the church is organized.
- The differences and similarities between the early church and the modern church.
- Why it is important to teach sound doctrine in the church.
- The responsibilities of the entire church.
This craft will be a great addition to your teaching of the church.
Instructions
- Print the template on card stock. (Template)
- Color and cut out both pieces.
- Assemble the larger piece.
- Glue on the smaller piece to the flat side of the already assembled piece.

Faith The Size Of A Mustard Seed
A mustard seed is incredibly small yet it is used by Christ to explain the power and importance of faith.
” 5 The apostles said to the Lord, “Increase our faith!” 6 And the Lord said, “If you had faith like a mustard seed, you would say to this mulberry tree, ‘Be uprooted and be planted in the sea’; and it would obey you.” Luke 17:5-6
“And He said to them, “Because of the littleness of your faith; for truly I say to you, if you have faith the size of a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible to you.” Matthew 17:20
This craft can also be used for the parable of the mustard seed.
Instructions
- Print the template. (Template)
- Color the main image and the seed pods.
- Cut out the seed pods.
- Glue the seed pods onto the main image.
- Glue yellow beans onto the seed pods. You can also use black beans.
