Noahs Ark
Noah’s ark is a favorite Bible story for many children, and this easy paper plate craft is a great way for kids to make a fun take home reminder of the lesson.
Instructions
- Print the template. (Template)
- Paint a paper plate blue.
- Color then cut out the rainbow and the ark. (I recommend you use crayons or color pencils. As you can see I used markers and the browns and black are really dark, especially on the animals.)
- Glue the ark onto the plate.
- Finally glue the rainbow onto the plate. If you choose not to use the rainbow, you can paint a rainbow across the top edge of the plate instead.
Homemade Watercolor Paint
Have you ever wanted to make your very own watercolor paint? Homemade watercolor paint comes together easily with a few simple ingredients. Making it is easy, the hard part is waiting for it to dry.
Ingredients
- 4 Tablespoons baking soda
- 2 Tablespoons white vinegar
- 1/2 teaspoon light corn syrup
- 2 Tablespoons cornstarch
- food coloring
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine the baking soda and the white vinegar until it stops fizzing.
- Add the corn syrup and the cornstarch until you have a smooth consistency.
- Pour the mixture into individual egg carton cups, filling each about a third to halfway. You can also buy empty water color trays online.
- Add five to eight drops of food coloring to each cup, mixing it in thoroughly until you get the color you are looking for.
- Let the paint dry overnight.
White Dove
This craft can be done for different bible stories and adapted for each one. It is very versatile. It can be used for:
- Teaching children the story of Noah. (Genesis 6-9) You can add a branch to the birds mouth for this story.
- Teaching children when Jesus was baptized. (Matthew 3)
- Or you can teach about who the Holy Spirit is.

Instructions
- Print out the templates. (Template)
- Cut out the body, the wings and the feathers.
- Snip each individual feather around the border of the feather. (For a nice effect, before snipping the feathers, crumble them up, then snip each individual feather around the border).
- Then glue the feathers onto each wing. (Eight on the bottom and six on the top).
- Glue the wings to the body.
- Finally color in the beak. If the child chooses he can draw on the feet.
King Nebuchadnezzar’s Gold Statue
Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego were remembering the promises of God. They were trusting in God. They believed that God was able to keep them from harm and deliver them from the evil intended against them. They were trusting in God; not in their cleverness or in their strength. They did not back down or worship the idol; they did not lie and say that they had served Nebuchadnezzar’s gods. They stood their ground and trusted God. God delivered Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego from their troubles. God will keep His children from harm.
“The LORD will protect you and keep you safe from all dangers. The LORD will protect you now and always wherever you go.” Psalm 121:7-8
Instructions
- Print out the templates. (Template)
- Color the flames, the main picture with the furnace and the half circle.
- Cut out the flames and half circle.
- Glue the flames onto the half circle, then cut the half circle in half.
- Fold and crease each piece of the half circle to form a hinge.
- Glue each piece of the half circle to the main picture with the furnace.
Lazarus Raised From The Dead
Mary and Martha went through the lose of their brother. But Jesus used this opportunity so that the faith of His disciples and Mary and Martha could be strengthened. So that they could see who Jesus truly was and so that He and the Father would be glorified. Their suffering was necessary so that they could learn that they could completely trust in Jesus.
God allows suffering in our life too. But He does this so we can learn to depend on Him; to put our faith and trust in Him. We should also learn to be thankful for these hard situations because many times this is when we learn and grow.
“For if He causes grief, then He will have compassion according to His abundant loving-kindness. For He does not afflict willingly or grieve the sons of men.” Lamentations 3:32-33
Instructions
- Print out the templates. (Template)
- Cut out the body figure.
- Glue strips of napkin or paper towel pieces to the figure, until completely covered at different angles.
- When dry cut of any excess napkin or paper towel.
- Color the main image.
- Glue on the finished figure to the main image.
Daniel In The Lions Den
Daniel got in trouble for obeying and worshipping God. Even though his life was in danger Daniel had to trust God and placed his faith in Him. God was always with Daniel, He never abandoned him. Through this trial God was glorified and His name was proclaimed throughout the kingdom.
This is the lesson that we want our kid’s to learn; to learn to trust God. Even when things get difficult God doesn’t abandon us.
“When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; And through the rivers, they will not overflow you.” Isaiah 43:2
Instructions
- Print the templates. (Template)
- Paint a paper plate orange or yellow.
- Color the lions head the same color as the plate.
- Color and cut out the strips for the mane. If you prefer you can use a strip as a template and trace it on construction paper.
- Glue the strips of construction paper around the rim of the painted paper plate.
- Glue the lions face onto the paper plate, centered.
- Cut out the eyes of the lion.
- Finally glue a large popsicle stick onto the bottom of the plate for a handle.
Moses Birth
Although Pharaoh had plans for evil for Moses, God had plans for good for Moses. Everyday God brings good into the lives of His children.
Your kids will love making this cute baby Moses craft.
“For I know the plans that I have for you, declares the Lord, ‘plans for welfare and not for calamity to give you a future and a hope.” Jeremiah 29:11
Instructions
- Print the templates. You will have two pages in total. One page will include baby Moses, the grasses and the reeds. On the other page one side will have the circle and on the other side of the paper you will print the basket design. (Template)
- Color the basket design, baby Moses, the reeds and grasses.
- Cut out the circle, baby Moses, the reeds and grasses.
- Take the circle and cut on the four dotted lines.
- Still with on the circle, fold the solid lines to make creases.
- Add glue one at a time to each corner of the circle to form the basket shape.
- Glue baby Moses on the inside of the basket facing forward. Then the grasses and reeds facing forward.
Jonah And The Fish
Jonah knew what God had commanded him to do, but he chose to disobey. Then came the discipline of the Lord. God disciplines those He loves and this is an important lesson for all children to learn. It’s not always fun, but its one way that God demonstrates His love.
“My son, do not reject the discipline of the Lord Or loathe His reproof. For whom the Lord loves He reproves, Even as a father corrects the son in whom he delights.” Proverbs 3:11-12
Instructions
- Print out and color the templates. (Template)
- Cut out the fish and cut along the two parallel lines.
- Place the fish through the parallel lines so that it appears to be poking out of the ocean.
Abraham Offers Isaac
A person of faith walks ahead in obedience even though they do not see the outcome of the situation. Faith acts on the promises of God. Abraham did not know how Gods promise of many decedents would be fulfilled if he sacrificed Isaac, but he still obeyed God. He still trusted and had faith that God was going to keep His promises.
“Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.” Hebrews 11:1
Instructions
- Print and cut out the template. (Template)
- Glue the template onto a sheet of construction paper. This will give support to the craft.
- Cut out the template. If you like you can leave a small border of construction paper.
- Color the legs, horns and face of the ram.
- Cut cotton balls into four pieces and glue them onto the rams body, tail and ears. If you like you could use small white craft pom poms.
You Will Bear Fruit (Jesus Is The Vine)
God promises that His children will bear fruit.
“My Father is glorified by this, that you bear much fruit, and so prove to be My disciples. John 15:8

Instructions
- Print the templates. (Template)
- Color the vine and the Fruit of the Spirit.
- Cut out The Fruit of the Spirit.
- Lay the fruit on the vine.
- Glue the fruit in place on the vine.
Remind the children: Jesus is the vine, His followers are the branches, they will have the Fruit of the Spirit, which produce good works.
